Subject: Cool old sound
Good recording quality. not staticy or hissy at all. Clear tones. Definately an older sound / older recording. Slow tempo song, but a pleasent folk sound!

Subject: I'm sure more people are familiar...
...with Nirvana's rendering of this song in their "MTV Unplugged" set. Maybe it's not fraught with as much raw emotion, but it's good that Huddie "Leadbelly" Ledbetter's rendition is down for posterity and available here. It's a very atmospheric, sparse, almost spooky recording. Brrr...
